Our Tradition of Excellence
Mountain View High School was established in 1976; it was the third public high school in Mesa. The football program quickly made headlines with its first state championship in 1978. This tradition of excellence continues today as Mountain View Toro Football works to promote values of hard work, endurance, teamwork, integrity, and leadership. We are a Campus of Champions.
MVT Toro Football played an instrumental role in preparing some of its athletes for college-level play, and many have gone on to professional NFL careers, including:
- John Beck (Washington Redskins)
- Devin Clark (Washington Redskins)
- Joe Germaine (St. Louis Rams)
- Max Hall (Arizona Cardinals)
- Kurt Haws (Washington Redskins)
- Todd Heap (Baltimore Ravens)
- Todd Shell (San Francisco 49ers)
